Medisorb R and Medisorb R Ag
Descripton of the product:
Medisorb R is an innovative resorbable dressing made of chitin copolyester.
The dressings consist of butyryl-acetyl chitin copolyesters. The capillary structure of the dressings in the form of a membrane allows for the removal of excess exudate from the wound environment. Thanks to resorption, the dressings protect the newly formed tissue from damage - there is no need for painful dressing changes due tothe fact that the product degrades in the wound environment. This is the only dressing in the world based on acetyl-butyryl chitin copolyesters. The dressing is made of a polymer of natural origin - chitin.

Intended use:
The entire range of dressings - Medisorb R Membrane, Medisorb R Powder, Medisorb R Ag - is recommended for chronic exuding wounds of various etiologies. In the case of infected/infection-prone wounds, Medisorb R Ag is particularly recommended (the dressing has a bactericidal effect in the wound environment, which allows for the elimination of existing infection and provides protection against the occurrence of primary and secondary infection). For deep wounds or those with irregular wound bed, Medisorb R Powder is recommended (a powder dressing was designed to accelerate the healing process of deep wounds).
Sterilisation:
Medisorb R dressings are offered for sale as a sterile product - sterilized by radiation.
